A gas explosion in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, has resulted in two deaths and over 220 injuries. The blast occurred in the Embakasi district around 23:30, igniting a massive fireball. Initially, it was believed to have occurred at a gas plant, but the cause is still under investigation. Homes, businesses, and vehicles were damaged, with video footage showing a large blaze near residential buildings. The fire also spread to several apartment complexes. Witnesses reported feeling tremors immediately after the blast. Many of the injured suffered from inhalation injuries, including 25 children. Firefighters and rescue crews are tirelessly battling the flames, and a command center has been established to coordinate rescue operations. Kenyans are advised to stay away from the cordoned area to allow for the rescue mission to proceed with minimal disruptions.
