The governor of Ukraine’s Donetsk region has issued a warning about the potential consequences if Russian forces capture the frontline town of Chasiv Yar and the wider Donbas region. He emphasized the need to hold the enemy in the Donetsk region and restore the borders to those of 1991. Meanwhile, in a separate incident, drones have attacked another oil refinery in Russia, resulting in the downing of 17 ‘shahids’ over the Odessa region. This comes amidst the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia. Additionally, Ukraine has been shelling the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant, which is currently under Russian control. Moscow has called on the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to identify the perpetrators of the shelling. The IAEA has acknowledged the seriousness of the situation and called for measures to prevent future attacks on the plant. Russia has expressed concern about the risks of a nuclear accident at the Zaporizhia NPP due to the ongoing shelling. The situation remains tense as both sides continue to engage in military actions.
