In a shocking display of aggression, Dmitry Kiselyov, a top propagandist for Russian President Vladimir Putin, has issued a dire warning to NATO countries. During a live broadcast on Russian television, Kiselyov threatened that Russia would sink Britain under a nuclear tidal wave if NATO sent troops into Ukraine. He further stated that the US would be reduced to radioactive ash if the West attempted to put boots on the ground in Ukraine. These alarming threats have raised concerns about the escalating tensions between Russia and the West.
Kiselyov’s threats were made in response to discussions within NATO about the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine. While French President Emmanuel Macron has suggested that the West should not rule out this option, other NATO leaders have been more cautious in their approach. However, Kiselyov’s warning serves as a stark reminder of the potential consequences of such a decision.
The Independent reports that Kiselyov, who is known as the top Putin propagandist, stated that any attempt by NATO countries to defeat Russia strategically in Ukraine would bring about the moment when Putin questioned the need for a world without Russia. He ominously declared, ‘Then everything [all types of missile] would be launched by us, in every direction – Sarmats [Satan-2s], Yars, and Avangards.’ Kiselyov also claimed that American decision-making centers and launchers on land and at sea were already in Russia’s sights.
The Daily Mail provides further details on the potential weapons that Russia could employ in this scenario. Kiselyov mentioned the Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile, also known as Satan-2, which is hailed by Putin as ‘unstoppable.’ This 208-ton missile can travel at a speed of 15,880mph and carries a nuclear warhead. Additionally, Kiselyov referred to the Avangard hypersonic missile complex, which delivers missiles to targets at 27 times the speed of sound. The Yars missiles, currently the main element of Russia’s ground-based nuclear force, were also mentioned as a potential threat to the US.
It is important to note that while Kiselyov’s threats may sound alarming, the deployment of these advanced weapons mentioned has not yet taken place. However, the fact that such rhetoric is being used by a prominent figure in Russian media raises concerns about the escalating tensions between Russia and the West.
The international community is closely monitoring the situation in Ukraine, with many urging for diplomatic solutions to de-escalate the conflict. The threats made by Kiselyov serve as a reminder of the potential consequences of military intervention and the need for careful consideration in navigating this delicate situation.
As this story continues to develop, it is crucial for world leaders to prioritize dialogue and diplomacy to prevent further escalation and ensure the safety and security of all nations involved.
